Where is the Cincinnati Bankruptcy Court?
The Cincinnati Bankruptcy Court is part of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Bankruptcy cases are part of the Federal Court System rather than the Courts of the individual States. So, your Bankruptcy case in Cincinnati is not administered in one of the various local County Courthouses. Furthermore, due to space constraints in the Federal Courthouse in Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Bankruptcy Court is located in the Atrium II office building.
The physical address for the Cincinnati Bankruptcy Court is:
221 E. Fourth Street
Atrium Two Suite 800
Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
IT IS IMPORTANT to remember that your First Meeting of Creditors, which is usually the only hearing a Debtor must attend, is not held in the Bankruptcy Court. Instead the First Meeting of Creditor is held in one of two other locations depending on whether your case was filed under Chapter 13 of the Bankruptcy Code or Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code.
In Chapter 13 Cases, the First Meeting of Creditors is held at the following address:
The Center at 600 Vine
600 Vine Street, Suite 106
Cincinnati, OH 45202
In Chapter 7 Cases, the First Meeting of Creditors is held at the following address:
J.W. Peck Federal Building
550 Main St., Room 1−023A
Cincinnati, OH 45202
